There is a place where the sky opens and rainbows form. Surrounded by the peaceful countryside of the Limousin region in central France, three and a half hours South of Paris. The Sun Camp field overlooks the Chataeu of the Shambhala practice center Dechen Chöling (Dharma Place of Great Bliss). The field and the Tori (entrance to camp) await the summer, when young warriors come. These young warriors await the time when white tents are pitched, fire pits dug and flag poles raised. They come from all over Europe and speak all sorts of languages. They cook over fire, they eat in the shade, they feel the sun’s beaming heat, they get wet when it rains, and they form bonds that bridge hundreds and thousands of kilometres. And, then there are the cows, always mooing, the frogs, always croaking, the crickets, and the small lake that reflects the moon at night.

Directions Dechen Chöling is situated in central France, near Limoges. It is about 350 km south of Paris and 220 km northeast of Bordeaux. You can get there easily by car, train or plane. Dechen Chöling offers shuttle service from Limoges or St. Victurnien train stations and Limoges Bellegarde airport. Further information can be found here.
